Kamuoyunun yaptığı ananslar ile tanıdığı Orhan Tamer, Hava Kuvvetleri'nde 48 yıl önce başlayan gökyüzü serüvenine son uçuşu ile nokta koydu. F-104 ile uçtu, hatta paraşütle atladı... Türk Yıldızları'nın kuruluşunda görev yaptı. İlk sunucusu oldu. Türk Hava Kuvvetleri'nin 90 ve 100'üncü yıllarına özel İzmir'de yapılan gösterilerin sunuculuğunu gerçekleştirdi. 2005'te ise emekli olarak havayollarına geçti. Yolcular onu yaptığı anonsla tanıdı ve çok sevdi. En son havayolu olarak Pegasus'ta uçtu...
