Bu konuşmada İrem Bayram, çocukluk yıllarından itibaren karşısına çıkan “Bu da mı kız oldu?”, “Bir erkek kardeşin olmalı”, “Yapabilir mi?” ve “Kadından başkan mı olurmuş?” gibi sorulardan yola çıkarak daha büyük bir soruyu tartışıyor: İnsanlar gerçekten bireyleri mi değerlendiriyor, yoksa alıştıkları kalıpları mı savunuyor? Erkek egemen kabul edilen bir sektörde edindiği deneyimler ve iş hayatındaki gözlemleri üzerinden, başarının önündeki en büyük engelin çoğu zaman önyargı değil, değişime direnç gösteren alışkanlıklar olduğunu anlatıyor. Kişisel hikâyesinden hareketle, başarıyı belirleyen şeyin cinsiyet değil; sorumluluk alma cesareti, çalışma disiplini ve potansiyel olduğuna dikkat çekiyor.İrem Bayram, şehirler arası yolcu taşımacılığı sektöründe faaliyet gösteren aile şirketi Best Van’ın yöneticilerindendir. 1990 yılında Van’da doğan Bayram, sektörün içinde yetişmiş ve operasyonel yönetim ile kurumsal dönüşüm süreçlerinde aktif rol almıştır. İş dünyası, girişimcilik ve bölgesel kalkınma alanlarında çalışmalarını sürdürmekte olup, 2026 Van Ticaret ve Sanayi Odası seçimlerinde başkan adayıdır. Liderlik, temsil ve fırsat eşitliği konularına odaklanan Bayram, başarının kimliklerle değil, ortaya konan değerle değerlendirilmesi gerektiğine inanmaktadır.
Bu konuşma, kişisel bir başarı hikâyesinden çok; potansiyel, önyargı ve toplumsal alışkanlıklar üzerine bir düşünme davetidir. İrem Bayram holds a degree in Business Administration and an MA in Global Politics, studied in New York, Washington, and Berlin. Currently at the PhD proficiency stage, she has managed Best Van’s transport network since 2013 and serves on the TOBB Sector Assembly. Beyond her leadership in family-owned energy and construction firms, she brands traditional Van herbed cheese via "Nadir Çiftlik." A KAGİDER member and Lake Van activist, she leads the "Pink Bus" social project. Fluent in English and Kurdish, Bayram is a candidate for the Van Chamber of Commerce Presidency, focusing on regional development and production-oriented growth.
