Penanaman perdana ini dihadiri Wakil Gubernur Jawa Barat, Erwan Setiawan, bersama pejabat, petani, dan Direktur Utama PT Dirgantara Indonesia, Gita Amperiawan.
Sorgum dinilai memiliki banyak keunggulan, di antaranya hemat air, tahan penyakit, serta bisa dipanen hingga tiga kali dalam sekali tanam.
Pemprov Jabar berkomitmen mendukung pengembangan sorgum, termasuk dalam hal pendampingan dan pemasaran bagi petani.(*)
