Süleyman peygamber ya da diğer adıyla Kral Süleyman din kitaplarında önemli yere sahip olan bir isimdir. Onun yaptırdığına inanılan Süleyman Mabedi ise günümüzde, İsrail'deki Tapınak Tepesi'nde olduğuna inanılan bir yapıdır. Ancak henüz keşfedilemedi. Yahudiler ise Süleyman Mabedi'nin dünyadaki en önemli yapı olduğuna inanıyorlar. Bu nedenle gerek İsrail Devleti gerekse arkeoloji dünyası bu tapınağın izlerini bulmaya çalışıyor.
