Wakil Menteri Luar Negeri (Wamenlu) Anis Matta mengatakan, penggalangan dana ini menargetkan hingga 200 juta dollar Amerika atau sekitar Rp 3,2 triliun.
Dalam kesempatan ini, hadir perwakilan Majelis Ulama Indonesia, Badan Amil Zakat Nasional, dan sekitar 38 badan pengumpul zakat maupun organisasi filantropi.
Wamenlu Anis Matta menyatakan target penggalangan dana sebesar Rp3,2 Triliun untuk Palestina nantinya akan ditujukan untuk program emergensi selama masa gencatan senjata, dan program rekonstruksi Gaza yang sudah luluh lantah imbas perang dengan Israel.
