Se o carro elétrico ainda não é a melhor opção ou é uma opção apenas para o trânsito urbano, a tendência da eletrificação hoje é o carro híbrido, que é tracionado pelos dois motores: a combustão ou elétrico.Prós e contras? A favor, o motorista não tem o fantasma da pane seca. Se acabar a bateria, o carro continua com o motor a gasolina. No caso do híbrido plug-in, alguns deles, depois da recarga de uma noite, são capazes de rodar até 100 quilômetros apenas com a bateria.
E o aspecto negativo do híbrido é que ele tem a soma de três problemas: os do motor da combustão, os do elétrico e mais os do complexo sistema eletrônico que administra essas duas motorizações.
