Pj Gubernur Jateng Bicara soal Pemanfaatan Danau Rawa Pening di WWF ke-10 di Bali
BALI, KOMPAS.TV - World Water Forum yang dibuka oleh Presiden Jokowi, dihadiri 60 negara, membahas tentang pemanfaatan air untuk kehidupan yang berkelanjutan.Pj Gubernur Jawa Tengah, Nana Sudjana berbicara di forum internasional World Water Forum dan memaparkan soal pemanfaatan Danau Rawa Pening bagi kehidupan.
Danau Rawa Pening menjadi muara 14 anak sungai dengan luas genangan mencapai 1.850 hektar dan volume air 48,15 juta meter kubik.
Danau ini dimanfaatkan untuk berbagai kepentingan mulai dari irigasi, pemenuhan kebutuhan air baku, PLTA, mereduksi debit banjir, tempat pariwisata maupun perikanan darat.
Tingginya fungsi Danau Rawa Pening membuat Pemprov Jawa Tengah sangat mendukung upaya penyelamatan danau prioritas nasional ini.
Sejumlah kegiatan sudah direalisasikan mulai pengendalian pencemaran air, pengendalian sedimentasi, pembersihan eceng gondok hingga pengembangan desa wisata.
Melalui pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan, diharapkan kelestarian dan pemanfaatan Danau Rawa Pening bagi kehidupan bisa terjaga.
