Meski didemo besar-besaran, Netanyahu menegaskan bahwa dirinya enggan mengakhiri perang di Gaza.
Netanyahu mengatakan, pihak yang menyerukan diakhirinya perang tanpa kekalahan Hamas sama dengan menunda pembebasan sandera.
"Mereka yang menyerukan diakhirinya perang tanpa kekalahan Hamas hari ini tidak hanya memperkuat posisi Hamas dan menunda pembebasan para sandera kita, tetapi juga memastikan bahwa kengerian 7 Oktober akan terulang kembali," kata Netanyahu.
Di sisi lain ratusan ribu warga Israel memadati ibu kota Tel Aviv hingga memblokir jalan utama karena kecewa dengan kebijakan Netanyahu.
Mereka mendesak Netanyahu untuk mengakhiri perang di Gaza agar bisa membebaskan para sandera yang masih ditahan Hamas.
Menurut pendemo, rencana Netanyahu yang ingin memperluas dan memperkuat agresi di Gaza hanya akan membahayakan sandera.
Oleh karena itu ratusan warga Israel itu menggelar aksi demo menggeruduk Netanyahu dan menuntut gencatan senjata di Jalur Gaza.
Netanyahu sendiri memiliki ambisi mewujudkan visi Israel Raya dan mencaplok sejumlah negara Arab.
Wilayah yang ingin dikuasai Netanyahu tidak hanya Palestina saja namun juga Yordania, Lebanon hingga Suriah. (Tribun-Video.com)
