PLO | Mỹ khẩn cấp điều tra âm mưu ám sát ông TrumpVụ nổ súng tại cuộc vận động tranh cử của cựu Tổng thống Donald Trump tại Butler, Pennsylvania, tối 13-7 đang được điều tra như một âm mưu ám sát. Khi ông Trump bắt đầu phát biểu, tiếng súng vang lên và gây hoảng loạn. David McCormick, ứng cử viên Thượng viện Đảng Cộng hòa Pennsylvania, cho biết có 7 đến 8 tiếng súng vang lên khi ông đang ngồi ở hàng ghế đầu, khiến đám đông ngã xuống đất và các mật vụ nhanh chóng bảo vệ ông Trump.
McCormick mô tả cảnh tượng hỗn loạn với nhiều máu và một người bị thương trên khán đài được cảnh sát đưa đi chăm sóc. Hiện chưa rõ các phát súng đến từ hướng nào. Nghi phạm đã bị tiêu diệt bởi nhân viên mật vụ, và hai người bị thương khác được đưa đến bệnh viện Pittsburgh. Một người tham dự sự kiện cũng đã thiệt mạng.
Cựu Tổng thống George W. Bush và phu nhân Laura Bush đã ra tuyên bố biết ơn vì ông Trump vẫn an toàn và khen ngợi các nhân viên mật vụ vì phản ứng nhanh chóng của họ. Vụ việc đang tiếp tục được điều tra để làm rõ các chi tiết và động cơ phía sau.
