US President Donald Trump is continuing his Pakistan outreach. Nearly two months after hosting Pakistan's Army chief Asim Munir, he's set to meet Munir and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the White House on September 25. The meeting comes days after Trump slammed India for buying Russian oil, at the United Nations General Assembly — the latest in a series of his trade offensives against New Delhi. Trump is expected to discuss a series of issues with Islamabad — the recent Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Mutual Defence Treaty among them. Trump's plans of retaking the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan also seems to be on the agenda, apart from a series of economic partnerships and debt relief for Pakistan. New Delhi will be closely monitoring the development.So, Will Trump help bail out Pakistan at the IMF, and further invest in the country?
