Diketahui Umm al-Rashrash, atau yang disebut 'Eilat', sebuah kota yang terletak di pesisir Teluk Aqaba di Laut Merah.
Sebelumnya Juru bicara Angkatan Bersenjata Yaman (YAF), Brigadir Jenderal Yahya Saree, mengumumkan pada hari Senin bahwa YAF melakukan operasi gabungan dengan Perlawanan Islam Irak , yang menargetkan target penting di Umm al-Rashrash.
Saree mengonfirmasi bahwa operasi itu "dilakukan dengan beberapa pesawat tanpa awak dan berhasil mencapai tujuannya."
Kemudian, Perlawanan Islam di Irak mengeluarkan pernyataan yang mengumumkan operasi di pihaknya.
Ia menegaskan kembali bahwa operasi gabungan dengan Perlawanan Islam Irak akan terus berlanjut, untuk mendukung rakyat Palestina sampai agresi di Jalur Gaza berhenti dan pengepungan dicabut.(*)
