Un attacco aereo israeliano ha colpito la capitale del Qatar, Doha, prendendo di mira i vertici di Hamas riuniti per discutere la bozza di tregua proposta da Donald Trump. L’operazione, giustificata da Netanyahu come risposta all’attentato di Gerusalemme, viene condannata da Doha e dai paesi europei come violazione del diritto internazionale.Il Qatar annuncia il ritiro dai colloqui. Trump, intanto, prende le distanze dall’attacco: “Decisione di Netanyahu, non mia”. Ma il sospetto che Washington fosse al corrente rimane forte.
Con la rottura di un canale cruciale, si riaccendono le tensioni sulla possibilità di un cessate il fuoco e cresce lo scontro politico anche dentro Israele, dove lo stesso capo di stato maggiore dell’IDF aveva messo in guardia contro la fine prematura delle trattative sugli ostaggi.
