Dia adalah salah satu pandai besi tradisional yang masih bertahan di Kota Kediri, tepatnya di Kelurahan Banaran, Kecamatan Pesantren.
Margiono bukan hanya seorang pengrajin logam, tapi juga penjaga tradisi.
Sejak tahun 1978, dia telah mengabdikan hidupnya untuk menekuni keahlian pandai besi yang diwariskan dari ayahnya. Di tangan Margiono, potongan besi plat disulap menjadi alat-alat pertanian seperti sabit dan cangkul yang kokoh dan berkualitas.
