Hal ini seiring Presiden Prabowo Subianto membentuk Komite Reformasi Polri.
Menanggapi hal itu, DPR membantah Kapolri menandingi Komite Reformasi Polri bentukan Prabowo.
Bantahan itu disampaik an Wakil Ketua DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad saat ditemui di Gedung DPR pada Kamis (25/9).
Dasco menegaskan tim bentukan Kapolri memiliki tugas berbeda dengan Komite Reformasi buatan Prabowo.
Adapun tim bentukan Kapolri bersifat internal dan berfungsi sebagai persiapan.
Tim tersebut bertugas melakukan pendataan hingga dibagi ke beberapa kelompok.
Nantinya tim bentukan Kapolri justru akan membantu kinerja Komite Reformasi Polri.
Dasco menekankan tidak ada pertentangan antara keberadaan tim Kapolri dengan komite bentukan presiden.
Justru, Dasco menilai keduanya saling melengkapi.
“Sehingga menurut saya tidak ada hal yang bertentangan bahwa di internal dibuat satu tim khusus yang akan membantu komisi yang akan masuk ke dalam,” ucap Dasco.
Dasco juga memastikan tidak ada perwakilan DPR RI dalam Komite Reformasi Polri.
Ia menyebut, komite itu sepenuhnya berada di ranah eksekutif.
Namun DPR tetap akan menjalankan fungsi pengawasan agar hasilnya sesuai harapan masyarakat.
