У Грузії триває процес виборів, який супроводжується масовими акціями протесту в центрі столиці, передає проєкт Радіо Свобода «Ехо Кавказу». На проспекті Руставелі об’єдналися кілька опозиційних колон під гаслами «Ні Росії – так Європі». Представники опозиції назвали сьогоднішні події «революцією прапорів».На площі Свободи організатори акції, серед яких співак і політик Паата Бурчуладзе, зачитали декларацію. У ній заявили, що влада «втратила легітимність» і оголосили про початок «мирного перехідного періоду».
У другій половині дня протестувальники рушили до президентського палацу Орбеліані. Частина учасників прорвалася на територію резиденції, зламавши огорожу. Силовики застосували перцевий газ і водомети. Повідомляється про постраждалих.
