CEUTA: MIGRATENSTURM setzt Marokko unter Druck: „So etwas darf sich nicht wiederholen!“ – Lena Düpont über die Grenzöffnung – „Fast schon ein Bilderbuchbeispiel für instrumentalisierte Migration!“

Der befürchtete erneute Ansturm von Migranten auf die spanische Exklave Ceuta ist ausgeblieben. Trotz Aufrufen in Online-Netzwerken blieb die Lage ruhig. Spanien und Marokko hatten ihre Sicherheitsvorkehrungen verstärkt. Mehrere Tausend Flüchtlinge sind weiter in Ceuta. Sie kampieren vor allem am Strand und weigern sich, zurückzukehren. Das spanische Militär ist mit Hunderten Soldaten in der Exklave. Unter den Migranten sind vorwiegend unbegleitete männliche Minderjährige. Sie hoffen auf Asyl in Spanien.

Lena Düpont von der CDU, migrationspolitische Sprecherin im Europäischen Parlament der EVP-Fraktion, fordert klare Kommunikation und konsequente Rückführungen. Eine irreguläre oder illegale Einreise nach Ceuta und Melilla dürfe nicht dazu führen, dass Migranten bleiben. Dafür könnten die Krisenverordnung und der Schengener Grenzkodex genutzt werden.

Düpont fordert zudem Druck auf Marokko. Die Migration sei als instrumentalisierte Migration klassifiziert worden. Für die Zusammenarbeit mit Drittstaaten gebe es rechtliche Grundlagen. Deutschland gehöre zu den Mitgliedstaaten, die solche Kooperationen vorantreiben.
