Pada Selasa (25/2/2025), Kyiv menyetujui persyaratan yang akan meningkatkan hubungan dengan pemerintahan Presiden AS, Donald Trump itu.
Disebutkan, hal itu juga akan membuka jalan bagi komitmen keamanan AS jangka panjang.
AS belum mengonfirmasi apakah persyaratan kesepakatan telah disetujui.
Namun, Trump mengatakan bahwa Presiden Ukraina, Volodymyr Zelensky akan melakukan perjalanan ke Washington beberapa hari mendatang.
Adapun, dalam kesepakatan sebelumnya, pemerintahan Trump menuntut bagian US$ 500 miliar dari tanah jarang dan mineral kritis milik Ukraina.
Hal itu, sebagai imbalan atas bantuan yang telah diberikan AS kepada Kyiv, namun sempat ditolak oleh Zelensky.
