President Trump is expected to visit the Kennedy Center in Washington for an announcement. House Republicans recently floated a proposal to name the opera house at the historic performing arts center after First Lady Melania Trump.After meeting with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy last week in Britain, JD Vance took several days off to vacation in the English countryside. Today, he's expected to visit US troops stationed at Royal Air Force Base Fairford. The Vice President will receive a briefing on the base’s capabilities and will deliver remarks.
A court hearing is scheduled for Harvey Weinstein, according to the Associated Press. In June, the movie mogul was convicted in a Manhattan courtroom forcibly subjecting a woman to a criminal sex act. He has yet to be sentenced. A date is also pending for a potential retrial on one remaining rape charge. Weinstein, 73, denies all the charges.
