KRIEG GEGEN IRAN: Demokraten scheitern - Trumps Nahost-Kurs werden keine Grenzen gesetzt!

Das US-Repräsentantenhaus hat eine Resolution abgelehnt, die Präsident Donald Trump im möglichen Konflikt mit dem Iran stärker an die Zustimmung des Kongresses gebunden hätte. Der Vorstoß scheiterte knapp mit 219 zu 212 Stimmen.

Die Republikaner, die im Repräsentantenhaus die Mehrheit haben, warfen den oppositionellen Demokraten vor, aus politischer Gegnerschaft zum Präsidenten zu handeln und damit die Sicherheit der USA zu gefährden.

Die Befürworter der Resolution argumentierten hingegen, dass der Kongress laut Verfassung eine zentrale Rolle bei der Entscheidung über Kriegseinsätze haben müsse und wollten diese Befugnis stärken.
