IIT Prof's tips on how to handle bad teaching in college
One of the biggest academic challenges students face in college is bad teaching. In this video, I share some tips which students can adopt to handle such bad teaching:1. Give feedback in a tactful manner to the prof, requesting for extra explanation, elaboration
2. Ask questions in class to make it less boring; the prof will also feel that the students are interested
3. If the course is lacking in organization and structure, request the prof for pointers
4. If there is a mismatch between the prerequisite knowledge assumed by the prof and the actual knowledge of the students, let the prof know ask him how the mismatch can be filled
5. Try to search for extra resources from the internet; work together with friends to collect such resources
