Ditemukannya pria berusia 37 tahun ini dalam kondisi tak bernyawa masih tak disangka-sangka. Keluarga sempat berharap, Wigih Hartono ditemukan dalam kondisi selamat.
“Sepekan pertama setelah dapat kabar tanggal 8 September 2025 lalu kami masih berharap Mas Hartono (Wigih Hartono) ditemukan selamat,” ungkap Imam Arif Susanto, adik dari Wigih Hartono saat ditemui di rumah duka, Minggu (21/9/2025).
Namun, kata dia, harapan itu tinggal harapan. Setelah 12 hari berlalu, keluarga akhirnya. Mereka hanya berharap jasad Wigih Hartono ketemu.
“Kita (keluarga) berharapnya cuma ketemu aja kalau ya masih selamat di alhamdulillah yang penting ketemu atau pasrah,” kata Arif—sapaan akrab—Imam Arif Susanto, adik dari Wigih Hartono.
Arif mengatakan dapat kabar pertama dari saudaranya yang bekerja di tambang Papua. Saat itu, Jarmini (istri Wigih Hartono) pun belum mengetahui bahwa suaminya menjadi korban longsor.
