Militer mengatakan bahwa sirene peringatan telah berbunyi di Israel utara dan layanan darurat mengatakan tim sedang mencari di daerah tersebut.
Serangan rudal ini menyebabkan kerusakan properti, tapi tidak ada korban jiwa yang dilaporkan.
Tayangan televisi pada hari Jumat menunjukkan kerusakan bangunan dan mobil serta kebakaran hutan di beberapa lokasi yang disebabkan oleh serangan atau puing-puing yang berjatuhan di tengah kondisi gelombang panas.
Pada hari Jumat, militer Israel mengatakan jet tempur dan sistem anti-pesawat telah mencegat 11 dari 16 drone yang diluncurkan oleh Hizbullah terhadap Israel dalam 72 jam terakhir.
Militer Israel telah saling baku tembak dengan pasukan Hizbullah di seberang perbatasan di Lebanon selatan sejak dimulainya perang di Gaza pada bulan Oktober.
Terdapat kekhawatiran yang semakin besar bahwa peningkatan serangan yang terus-menerus dapat membuat situasi menjadi tidak terkendali.
Termasuk risiko konflik yang lebih luas di wilayah yang telah terjadi konflik langsung antara Israel dan Iran.

Puluhan ribu warga telah dievakuasi dari rumah mereka di kedua sisi perbatasan, sehingga menciptakan tekanan yang semakin besar untuk menyelesaikan pertikaian tersebut, namun upaya diplomatik sejauh ini tidak membuahkan hasil.(*)
