DA reaction to Lindsay Clancy mistrial: 'Children were murdered, and it's our job to seek justice'
The trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother charged in the deaths of her three children, has ended in a mistrial.Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4 after a jury of nine women and three men deliberated for more than 38 hours and failed to return a verdict.
Outside the courthouse, District Attorney Tim Cruz said it has been an emotional trial for everybody.
"One of our many roles as prosecutors is seeking justice and giving voice to those who are tragically taken from us. And one of our parts in this proceeding is to speak for the victims who are no longer here," Cruz said. "Our priority has always been to fight for Cora, for Dawson, and for Callan."
