«Le indagini a Milano che coinvolgono anche il sindaco Sala? Non sono mai contento quando ci sono provvedimenti che mettono a rischio la libertà delle persone. E mi auguro che in futuro emergano elementi che rendano superflui questi provvedimenti. Sicuramente la giunta Sala ha dimostrato di non essere adeguata a Milano. Ma ricordo che sono stato il primo, per non dire l’unico, a dire che non si poteva parlare di ddl "Salva Milano" ma di ddl "Salva giunta Sala". Perché non è giusto scaricare tutta la sinistra su Sala. Dopo questa mia affermazione, il provvedimento che silenziosamente stava passando al Senato dopo che alla Camera forse non lo avevano capito fu bloccato. Non sono contento che ci sia stato bisogno della magistratura. Sarei stato più contento se la politica avesse capito che quel percorso era sbagliato». Lo ha detto il presidente del Senato Ignazio La Russa a margine del 75esimo Congresso Cisl al Palazzo dei Congressi di Roma.
