Timnas U-20 Terhenti di Fase Grup Piala Asia U-20, PSSI Copot Pelatih Indra Sjafri
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - PSSI memutuskan Indra Syafri tidak lagi menjabat pelatih timnas Indonesia U-20.Keputusan ini diambil menyusul hasil buruk yang diraih Tim Garuda U-20 di Piala Asia lalu.
Di Piala Asia U-20 yang digelar di Tiongkok kemarin, langkah timnas U-20 terhenti di fase grup atau gagal memenuhi target menembus semifinal, yang sekaligus lolos ke Piala Dunia U-20 2025.
Timnas Garuda U-20 hanya berada di posisi ketiga, dengan dua kali kalah dari Iran dan Uzbekistan, serta seri lawan Yaman.
Keputusan mencopot Indra Syafri disampaikan Ketua Umum PSSI, Erick Thohir, melalui akun media sosialnya.
Erick menyebut keputusan ini diambil setelah melalui evaluasi bersama wakil ketua umum dan para Exco PSSI.
