USA: Donald Trump und seine Friedensziele! "Das kann er sich nicht leisten" - Deal mit Netanjahu?

Donald Trump hat bei der UN-Vollversammlung erneut Hoffnungen auf einen schnellen Frieden im Nahen Osten geweckt. Er sprach von einem möglichen Deal, der entscheidend vom israelischen Premier Benjamin Netanjahu abhängen dürfte. Netanjahu verzichtete in seiner Rede auf Forderungen nach einer Annexion des Westjordanlands – ein Signal, das den Weg für Verhandlungen offenhält. Die USA arbeiten dabei mit einem 21-Punkte-Plan, der eine dauerhafte Waffenruhe, die Freilassung von Geiseln und den Rückzug der Hamas vorsieht. Am Montag soll Trump Netanjahu in Washington treffen. Zugleich betonte Außenminister Johann Wadephul in New York die Rolle der Vereinten Nationen und warb für Deutschlands Kandidatur für einen nichtständigen Sitz im UN-Sicherheitsrat 2027/28.
