Pemkot Surabaya dan DPRD menyiapkan anggaran Rp 1 triliun untuk mendukung program MBG.
Wali Kota Eri Cahyadi mengatakan, makanan untu program MBG ini disusun dengan standar gizi tinggi.
Menunya lengkap, ada nasi, lauk pauk, sayur, buah, sampai susu.
"InshaAllah sudah disampaikan oleh BGN, selama 30 hari (menu) makanan itu berbeda-berbeda. Berarti (rencana) menu itu bisa disampaikan ke anak-anak, inginnya apa, kurangnya apa, karena masing-masing anak tidak bisa disamakan," ujar Wali Kota Eri.
Pemkot Surabaya juga merencanakan penggunaan wadah ramah lingkungan.
Wali Kota Eri menegaskan bahwa setiap program yang baru berjalan pasti belum sepenuhnya sempurna. Program MBG di Surabaya akan terus dilakukan evaluasi dan penyempurnaan.
