Hal ini disampaikan oleh Ketua alumni Pondok Pesantren Al Khoziny KH Zaenal Abidin.
Semua korban sudah ditemukan dalam sembilan hari pencarian. Total ada 171 korban dalam peristiwa ambruknya gedung tiga lantai itu. 104 korban selamat, dan 67 meninggal dunia (8 body part).
“Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Roji’un. Saya mewakili keluarga ndalem (kediaman pengasuh pesantren) menyampaikan belasungkawa yang sedalam-dalamnya atas wafatnya para kader istimewa, santri-santri kami,” tutur KH Zaenal Abidin.
Tokoh yang juga sebagai Ketua PCNU Sidoarjo itu menyebut, para santri yang meninggal dunia dalam peristiwa ini, meninggal dunia keadaan terbaik.
Mereka wafat saat menuntut ilmu dan sedang beribadah.
"Kami yakin bahwa mereka meninggal dunia dalam kondisi tholabul ilmi (menuntut ilmu). Setelah bersuci, dan sedang melaksanakan salat. Mereka husnul khotimah,” lanjutnya.
