Sugeng datang ke Mapolresta Solo dengan tujuan untuk melaporkan pengelola Warung Ayam Goreng Widuran terkait penggunaan bahan baku non halal dalam pengolahan produk yang dijual.
Seperti diberitakan sebelumnya, Sugeng Riyanto sempat menceritakan bahwa dirinya dan sejumlah anggota Komisi IV DPRD Solo lainnya sempat mengkonsumsi produk dari Warung Ayam Goreng Widuran.
Sebagai informasi, Sugeng datang ke Mapolresta Solo didampingi sejumlah pengurus Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Kota Solo.
Mereka sampai di Mapolresta Solo sekitar pukul 10.45 WIB dan langsung menuju ke ruang Satreskrim Polresta Solo untuk membuat laporan.
Ditemui usai melakukan pengaduan, Sugeng menerangkan bahwa langkah hukum yang ia ambil tersebut lantaran merasa dibohongi oleh pengelola warung makan lantaran tidak memberikan informasi yang terang terkait produk dagang mereka.
"Saya sebagai pribadi melaporkan owner ayam goreng Widuran ke Polresta Surakarta karena saya sebagai pribadi merasa tertipu," ungkap Sugeng.
