Namun pihaknya meminta agar pasukan yang dikirim ke Gaza bersikap netal.
Sebaliknya, Herindra meminta agar pasukan tidak memihak ke Palestina.
"Tentunya kita tetap harus menjaga kenetralan imprasial karena diharapkan pasukan kita bersikap netral tidak memihak ke salah satu yang bertikai," kata Herindra di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, Kamis (6/6/2024).
Meski begitu, nantinya pasukan perdamaian yang akan dikirim akan dilatih terlebih dahulu oleh Indonesian Peace and Security Centre (IPSC).
Oleh karena itu, ia menambahkan pengiriman pasukan perdamaian itu harus terlebih dahulu disetujui oleh kedua negara yakni pihak Israel ataupun Palestina.
