Incendi, Pecoraro Scanio "Emergenza nazionale, Governo intervenga"
ROMA (ITALPRESS) - “Occorre bloccare gli incendiari. Siamo di nuovo nel pieno di un’emergenza incendi in tutta Italia, e assistiamo al silenzio inaccettabile del Governo rispetto alla necessità di sostenere concretamente tutte le forze impegnate nella prevenzione e nella repressione di questi crimini ambientali". Lo dichiara Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, già ministro dell’Agricoltura e dell’Ambiente, promotore della legge che ha introdotto il reato specifico di incendio boschivo.“Esattamente in un mese di agosto di tanti anni fa fu introdotto quel reato. Ne sono orgoglioso. Ma una norma da sola non basta se non è accompagnata da un vero sostegno operativo e istituzionale”, aggiunge.
“Sono al fianco dei Carabinieri Forestali, dei Vigili del Fuoco, della Protezione Civile e di tutti coloro che ogni estate rischiano la vita per difendere i nostri boschi, le nostre case, la nostra salute - prosegue Pecoraro Scanio -. È fondamentale rilanciare la campagna sull’uso del numero 1515 come strumento per segnalare tempestivamente gli incendi. Serve una comunicazione pubblica incisiva e continua. E servono più uomini, più mezzi, più coordinamento”.
