Pakistan's army is currently conducting elections in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The first phase of polling ended on Monday, July 27. However, clashes soon erupted after Pakistan's forces opened fire on peaceful protesters. At least 20 civilians have been killed and more than 50 are injured in Rawalkot, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Bhimber and Kotli. The demonstrations were led by the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) that is protesting against the reservation of 12 Assembly seats for Migrants who came to Pakistan. After the first phase of voting, PML (N) led by Shehbaz Sharif is leading, while Pakistan People's Party led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is in second place.
