«Io credo che nella storia della pesca alle vongole non ci sia mai stata una devastazione come quella attuale. Una moria del genere non si era mai vista. Sul mare veneto circa 110 imbarcazioni sono ormeggiate oramai da due anni». A dirlo è Gianni Stival, presidente nazionale del Consorzio di gestione molluschi balivi, il quale spiega tutto il dramma che stanno vivendo centinaia di pescatori in Veneto, e con essi le rispettive famiglie.
Il motivo? L’acqua di mare che ha raggiunto, e in alcuni casi superato, i 30 gradi centigradi; l’assenza di temporali e del vento di bora che favorisce il ricambio dell’acqua marina; oltre a questo l’ampia presenza di granchi blu in mare produce la devastazione tutto ciò che incrociano.
