Ia mengaku sudah menerima surat tugas dari Ketua Umum Partai Golkar untuk maju dalam Pemilihan Kepala Daerah atau Pilkada Kota Bekasi 2024.
Hal itu disampaikan Nofel Saleh Hilabi saat sesi wawancara eksklusif dengan Host Tribun Network Apfia Tioconny Billy di Studio Tribunnews, Jakarta, Selasa (11/6/2024).
"Kenapa aku mau jadi pedagang pengusaha terus terjun ke dunia politik ini yang selalu aku gaungkan aku tidak mau menjadi perampok di dunia politik," ucap politikus Golkar itu.
"Jadi aku harus kenyangkan perutnya dulu. Aku tidak nmau menjadi oknum merampok di dunia politik karena masih menginginkan mendapatkan sesuatu yang belum didapat," jelasnya kemudian.
Dalam wawancara tersebut, Nofel juga menyampaikan program-programnya bila ia terpilh menjadi Wali Kota Bekasi di Pilkada 2024 mendatang.
"Komitmemn saya kalau saya menjadi Wali Kota BEkasi, saya jamin pengangguran bisa sampai o atau 1 persen di Bekasi," ungkapnya.
Ia berjanji tidak akan mengambil gaji jika nanti terpilih menjadi Wali Kota Bekasi.
"Kalau maju caleg ngak ngambil gaji, di Wali Kota pun tidak akan mengamnbil gaji dan upah pungut," ucapnya.
