▷ AIUTA L'INFORMAZIONE LIBERA, SOSTIENICI: https://donazioni.radioradio.it/Nel 2007, #Papa #BenedettoXVI aveva sorpreso il mondo cattolico con il motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, che autorizzava tutti i sacerdoti a celebrare la #Messa secondo il Messale del 1962, la cosiddetta "forma straordinaria", usata prima del Concilio #Vaticano II. Con questa decisione, la Messa tradizionale in latino - ancora amata da molti fedeli per la sua sacralità - non era più relegata a pochi gruppi autorizzati, ma tornava ad essere pienamente legittima. Questa apertura, però, venne bruscamente frenata nel 2021 da #PapaFrancesco, che pubblicò un nuovo motu proprio dal titolo "Traditionis Custodes".
Il documento imponeva forti restrizioni: i preti dovevano chiedere il permesso al vescovo per celebrare il rito precedente e non potevano più farlo nelle chiese parrocchiali. Inoltre, i nuovi sacerdoti avrebbero avuto bisogno di un'autorizzazione speciale della Santa Sede. Bergoglio giustificò la sua scelta dichiarando che la maggioranza dei vescovi, consultati tramite un questionario, aveva espresso forti riserve verso la diffusione della Messa tradizionale, ritenendola fonte di divisioni ecclesiali.
A distanza di anni però emergono forti dubbi sull'attendibilità di quel sondaggio. A rilanciare il caso è stato Andrea Cionci, giornalista e autore de "Il Codice #Ratzinger".
