Reportage disponible jusqu'au 15/07/2028Suspendus entre ciel et terre, les cordistes exercent l’un des métiers les plus spectaculaires… et les plus dangereux de France : c’est la profession où le nombre de morts au travail est la plus élevée. Soudeurs, maçons ou laveurs de vitres, ils interviennent là où personne d’autre ne peut aller, suspendus à des dizaines de mètres de hauteur.
Souvent issus de reconversions, comme Ella Freeman qui a troqué son ordinateur de graphiste pour des marteaux perforateurs et des cordes, ils mènent une vie de nomades, au gré des chantiers. Face à la précarité et aux accidents à répétition, Grégory Molina a cofondé le syndicat “Cordistes en colère, cordistes solidaires” pour défendre leurs droits et améliorer la sécurité.
