Türk mühendisliğinin zirvesi: MİDLAS, MİLDEN ve geleceğin savaş gemileri
Türk savunma sanayiinin en hızlı yol aldığı alanlardan biri askeri gemiler. Bugün Türkiye, aynı anda çok sayıda savaş gemisi inşa edebilen, NATO ve AB üyesi ülkelere dahi gemi satan sayılı ülkelerden biri haline geldi. Ancak bu noktaya gelmek kolay olmadı; “yapamazsınız” diyenler de vardı, “biz size satarız, maceraya gerek yok” diyenler de. Ankara ise kendi rotasını çizdi ve Cumhuriyet tarihinin en iddialı denizcilik hamlelerinden birini başlattı.Bu yolculuğun kilit kelimesi MİLGEM oldu. 1990’larda atılan temeller, bugün korvetten firkateyne, açık deniz karakol gemisinden yeni tip mayın arama gemisine, uçak gemisinden denizaltıya uzanan geniş bir ekosisteme dönüştü. Ada sınıfı korvetler, İstif sınıfı firkateynler ve Hisar sınıfı açık deniz karakol gemileriyle birlikte Türkiye, Pakistan’dan Ukrayna’ya, Endonezya’dan Malezya’ya, Romanya’dan Portekiz’e uzanan bir ihracat ağı kurdu. Artık yalnızca gemi üretmiyor; farklı ülkelerin radarını, füzesini ve silah sistemlerini tek bir platformda buluşturabilen güçlü bir entegrasyon kabiliyeti sunuyor. Sivil tersanelerin askeri üretime dahil edilmesiyle üretim hızı arttı, yerlilik oranları yükseldi ve milli dikey atım sistemleri geliştirildi. Karadeniz’de, Akdeniz’de ve daha uzak denizlerde MİLGEM izi belirginleşti.
Hedef ise daha büyük: TF-2000 hava savunma muhripleri, Milli Uçak Gemisi MUGEM ve yüzde 100 yerli Milli Denizaltı MİLDEN projeleriyle Türkiye denizlerde artık oyun kuran bir aktör olma iddiasını ortaya koyuyor.
