Dua pelaku penjambretan bernama M Aditya Saragih dan Rizky Nanda diamankan warga.
Keduanya babak belur saat dibawa petugas Polres Pematangsiantar.
Kapolres Pematangsiantar, AKBP Sah Udur Sitinjak, menyatakan aksi penjambretan terjadi di Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Kelurahan Bane, Kecamatan Siantar Utara, Kota Pematangsiantar, Sumatra Utara.
AKBP Sah Udur menambahkan kedua pelaku merupakan residivis kasus narkoba.
Pada tahun 2022 lalu, Rizky Nanda yang masih 17 tahun dihukum satu tahun penjara.
Kasus perampokan yang menewaskan Rindy Liviani masih diselidiki.
Ayah korban, Nurdin, mengatakan anaknya keluar rumah untuk mencari pekerjaan menggunakan sepeda motor.
Di tengah jalan, korban dijambret dan tewas saat berupaya melawan kedua pelaku.
Sepeda motor korban menabrak pembatas jalan dan tewas di lokasi kejadian.
Ia berharap pelaku penjambretan dapat dihukum setimpal.
Menurut Nurdin, korban merupakan anak yang mandiri dan ingin membantu perekonomian keluarga.
Salah satu saksi mata mengatakan korban berboncengan dengan temannya saat berkendara sepeda motor.
Korban sempat terlibat tarik-menarik tas hingga menabrak median jalan.
Teman korban dilaporkan selamat dan masih dirawat di RS Efarina Etaham. (*)
