Istana Jelaskan Beda Data Jumlah Penduduk Miskin Versi BPS dan Bank Dunia
KOMPAS.TV - Juni 2025, Bank Dunia merilis data jumlah penduduk miskin di Indonesia yang mencapai 194 juta orang. Jumlah ini bertambah setelah Bank Dunia memperbarui garis kemiskinan global berdasarkan standar paritas daya beli terbaru.Angka penduduk miskin versi Bank Dunia ini sangat berbeda dengan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Berdasarkan data BPS, jumlah penduduk miskin di Indonesia per September 2024 tercatat sebanyak 24,06 juta orang atau hanya 8,57 persen dari total populasi.
Ambang batas garis kemiskinan nasional adalah pengeluaran senilai Rp595.243 per kapita per bulan.
Juru Bicara Kantor Komunikasi Kepresidenan, Dedek Prayudi, menyatakan bahwa data kemiskinan dari kedua lembaga tersebut dapat saling melengkapi. Namun, menurutnya, data Bank Dunia tidak bisa menangkap karakteristik lokal.
