Ngày 22-6, người phát ngôn của Hải quân Ukraine - ông Dmytro Pletenchuk cho biết rằng Nga bắt đầu phóng tên lửa hành trình Kalibr vào Ukraine từ các tàu chiến trên Biển Azov thay vì trên Biển Đen như trước đây, đánh dấu một bước thay đổi chiến thuật của Moscow, tờ Kyiv Indenpendent đưa tin.
Theo ông Pletenchuk, Nga đêm 22-6 đã tấn công bằng tên lửa và máy bay không người lái (UAV) vào cơ sở hạ tầng năng lượng quan trọng ở nhiều khu vực của Ukraine. Trong đó, 4/16 tên lửa mà Moscow phóng trong đêm là tên lửa hành trình Kalibr, được triển khai từ các tàu ở Biển Azov. “Bốn tên lửa đã được phóng từ Biển Azov, và đây là một bước ngoặt quan trọng. Nga đã sử dụng Biển Azov vì coi đây là vùng biển an toàn hơn Biển Đen” - ông Pletenchuk nói. Phía Ukraine cho rằng Nga bắt đầu chuyển sang tấn công từ Biển Azov vì Biển Đen “không còn an toàn” sau các cuộc tấn công liên tục của Kiev trong nhiều tháng qua.
