Hal itu disampaikan Ketua Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat atau MPR RI Ahmad Muzani dalam Sidang tahunan MPR dan Sidang Bersama DPR-DPD RI di Gedung MPR-DPR Senayan, Jumat (15/8/2025).
"Makan Bergizi Gratis, program ini bukan sekedar memberi makan, tetapi sebuah investasi besar bagi masa depan bangsa," ujar Muzani.
Menurut Muzani, masalah stunting, gizi buruk adalah masalah serius yang harus dihadapi oleh pemerintah. Maka dengan adanya program ini, pemerintah memastikan bahwa anak-anak bisa tumbuh sehat.
Bahkan, Muzani menyebut bahwa program MBG ini juga menggerakkan perekonomian di daerah.
"Pemerintah memastikan setiap anak Indonesia mendapatkan akses pada makanan bergizi, sehingga mereka bisa tumbuh sehat, kuat dan cerdas," tutur dia.
Muzani menyatakan, pada kepemimpinan Presiden Prabowo di tahun pertamanya ini pemerintah menyaksikan tekad yang kuat untuk menjadikan Indonesia bukan hanya negara besar, melainkan kompetitif dengan negara lain.
Di sisi lain, Muzani juga menyoroti pembentukan Koperasi Merah Putih. Muzani menyebut, koperasi merah putih menjadi gerakan strategis yang bertujuan membangun ekosistem ekonomi desa yang modern dan berpihak kepada rakyat.
"Demikian juga koperasi merah putih, koperasi merah putih adalah alat perjuangan ekonomi rakyat untuk menjadi kuat secara ekonomi," tutur dia.(*)
