SCHOCK-WAHL: Riesen Klatsche für CDU und Merz! "Das Schlimmste, was es je gab!" - Kanzler am Ende?Die CDU hat in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern erstmals überhaupt den Einzug in einen Landtag verpasst. Laut dem vorläufigen amtlichen Endergebnis kommt die Partei mit Spitzenkandidat Daniel Peters nur auf 4,9 Prozent. Bei der Wahl zum Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus landete die CDU mit Spitzenkandidat Stefan Evers abgeschlagen auf dem zweiten Platz. In der Partei wächst nun die Kritik an Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz. Stimmen aus der Bevölkerung machen ihn für den Vertrauensverlust der Union mitverantwortlich und fordern Konsequenzen. Auch seine Rede am Wahlabend stößt demnach auf Unverständnis. Viele Befragte vermissen konkrete Veränderungen und zweifeln daran, dass angekündigte Reformen das Vertrauen zurückgewinnen können.
