Korban terakhir adalah perawat bernama Betty yang sebelumnya direncanakan menjalani operasi karena cedera otak berat.
Betty menghembuskan nafas terakhirnya di ruang ICU RS Bina Sehat Jember pukul 17.58 WIB.
Kondisinya menurun sebelum sempat menjalani operasi oleh tim medis yang bertugas.
Direktur Utama RS Bina Jember, dr Faida mengungkapkan, tim medis dan ruang operasi sudah siap, namun lantaran kondisi Betty memburuk, tindakan harus ditunda.
Faida juga memastikan, Betty tidak dalam kondisi hamil, hal tersebut untuk mengklarifikasi kabar yang beredar.
Dengan meninggalnya Betty, maka jumlah korban meninggal akibat kecelakaan maut ini menjadi sembilan orang.
Mereka adalah Bela Putri Kayla Nurjati, Hesti Purba Wredhamaya, Hendra Pratama, Arti Wibowati, Wardatus Soleha, Aiza Fahrani Agustin, Nasha Azkiya Nayyara, Desi P, dan Betty.
Sedangkan korban selamat total berjumlah 43 orang, sebanyak 16 orang di antaranya masih menjalani perawatan medis di RSBS.
Terkait insiden ini, pihak RSBS Jember berencana memberikan fasilitas psikolog untuk self healing para korban.
