The Only 3 Turn Donk Bet Sizes You'll Ever Need | Stop Overthinking Sizing
Stop guessing your turn donk bet sizing. There are only 3 strategies you need.In this video, I break down my complete framework for turn donk bet sizing:
1️⃣ GEOMETRIC (2x pot) - When you have asymmetric nut advantage
Use this when you crush trips and villain doesn't. Example: You lead A74 turn 4. You have tons of 4x, they don't. Geo lets you get stacks in across two streets.
2️⃣ BIG (pot/67%) - When villain has some trips but not enough
Use this when you can't go geo because villain covers trips just enough to interfere. Example: LJ opens, BB flats, board K-T-2 turn T. Villain has some tens but not full offsuit coverage.
3️⃣ SMALL (25-33%) - When you want to value bet hands other than trips
Use this to protect pairs and include more of your range. Example: 8-7-4 turn 4 - you want to lead 8x and 7x for protection, not just trips.
The framework:
Do you have asymmetric nuts? → Geo
Does villain cover trips too well for geo? → Big
Do you want to value bet non-trips hands? → Small
Stop memorizing solver outputs. Understand the concept and you'll never be confused about turn sizing again.
