China (men and women), New Zealand (men), and Japan (women) delivered dominant performances on Day 3 of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2026, securing top spots in their pools and advancing to the Quarter-Finals at The Kallang.China’s men made history with a huge 21-15 victory over Australia — their first-ever win against them in Asia Cup 3x3 action. Liu Qianhao led the way with an outstanding 13-point performance, including five two-pointers that sealed the game. Despite a narrow loss to Malaysia earlier, China topped Pool B and moved on.
China’s women also impressed, going undefeated in Pool A. They battled past Thailand (16-13) and dominated Kazakhstan (21-14) with strong teamwork and inside scoring, establishing themselves as serious title contenders.
New Zealand’s men showcased elite form, finishing 2-0 in Pool D. Te Tuhi Lewis was unstoppable, scoring 20 points across two games and leading his team to wins over India (16-11) and Qatar (21-11). They now prepare for a big Quarter-Final clash against Australia.
Japan’s women stayed composed and efficient, securing two wins against Singapore (21-11) and Chinese Taipei (14-11). They now move on to face Thailand in the next stage.
