Menanggapi hal tersebut, Direktur Eksekutif Nasional Wahana Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia (Walhi) Zenzi Suhadi menilai bahwa penggusuran itu memperbesar praktik-praktik mafia tanah di kota-kota besar.
Atas pengusiran paksa tersebut, Walhi mengecam Pemerintah Kota Jakarta Selatan dan Kementerian Kesehatan.
Disebutkan oleh Zenzi, Kemenkes beralasan mau mengambil tanah tersebut karena tidak ada kegiatan kesehatan di Kantor PKBI.
Meski begitu, Zenzi menilai Kementerian Kesehatan tidak memiliki kapasitas untuk melakukan evaluasi atas peran dan kinerja PKBI. Ia menilai bahwa PKBI sudah jauh lebih lama bekerja dibandingkan orang-orang yang bekerja di Kementerian Kesehatan saat ini.
Adapun Direktur Eksekutif PKBI, Eko Maryadi menceritakan bahwa penggusuran tersebut diwarnai dengan pengancaman dan dilakukan tiba-tiba. Saat menceritakan kejadian tersebut, Eko bahkan sampai tak kuasa menahan air matanya.
