JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Sekretaris Jenderal Transparency International (TI) Indonesia, Danang Widoyoko mengatakan posisi Wakil Menteri Ketenagakerjaan, Immanuel Ebenezer punya kewenangan untuk menahan sertifikat yang seharusnya diberikan. Kewenangan ini kemudian menjadi sumber dari praktik korupsi.

Ramai beredar Noel juga sempat menyoroti kasus korupsi bantuan sosial (bansos) Covid-19 yang menjerat mantan Menteri Sosial, Juliari Batubara. Ia mendesak agar para pelaku korupsi dana bansos dihukum mati. "Mereka yang korupsi dana bansos layak dihukum mati," cuit Noel pada 9 Desember 2020.

Menanggapi hal itu, Danang mengatakan tidak bisa sekadar retorika dan harus dibuktikan dengan tindakan nyata. Tetapi sekadar retorika, karena memang tidak ditunjukkan dengan itu. Menurutnya, banyak orang mengalami ujian saat memiliki kekuasaan tertentu.

"Kalau mendapatkan kekuasaan, dia sanggup enggak menjaga integritasnya?," katanya.
