Dialah Syahlendra Haikal (13), yang tetap teguh mendirikan salat meski tubuhnya tertimpa beton bangunan yang ambruk.
Haikal bahkan sempat mengajak teman-temannya menunaikan salat Isya berjamaah di bawah puing-puing.
Namun, saat Subuh tiba, ia menyadari sahabat di sampingnya sudah tak bernyawa.
Cerita itu ia sampaikan sendiri setelah berhasil dievakuasi dalam keadaan selamat.
Selama terjebak di bawah reruntuhan, Haikal merasakan haus luar biasa.
Ia sempat melihat dua botol air, tetapi menahan diri karena merasa air itu bukan miliknya.
Bahkan petugas yang mengevakuasinya menyebut Haikal sebagai sosok yang beriman dan tabah.
Ibunda Haikal, Dwi Ajeng, menuturkan bahwa putranya sempat bercerita tentang sosok anak kecil misterius yang memberinya minum sebelum akhirnya menghilang.
Kisah itu membuat sang ibu terharu sekaligus merinding mengenang keajaiban yang dialami anaknya.
Selain itu, terselip kisah pengorbanan seorang santri bernama Rafi Catur Okta Mulya (17).
Ia meninggal dunia setelah berusaha menyelamatkan dua temannya dari reruntuhan bangunan.
Rafi sempat dibawa ke rumah sakit seusai tertimpa bangunan, namun nyawanya tak tertolong.
