TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Konflik Iran-Israel memanas, Perdana Menteri Inggris Keir Starmer akan mengirim lebih banyak Angkatan Udara ke Timur Tengah.

Perdana Menteri Starmer menyatakan jet tempur dengan sebutan Typhoon bakal dikirim untuk dukungan darurat.

Dikutip dari Tribunnews, pesawat tempur yang dikirim ke Timur Tengah itu diklaim mampu melakukan pengisian bahan bakar di udara.

"Kami telah memindahkan aset ke wilayah tersebut, termasuk jet, dan itu untuk dukungan darurat di seluruh wilayah," kata Starmer kepada wartawan dilansir dari bbc.com pada Senin (16/6/2025).

Starmer mengatakan dirinya telah berkomunikasi dengan Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu soal serangannya ke Iran.

Menurut Starmer, tindakan Inggris mengirin jet tempur ke Timur Tengah merupakan bagian dari pencegahan.

Starmer mengatakan akan menjadi kelalaian tugas jika Inggris tidak melakukan apapun terkait perang di Timur Tengah.

Meski begitu Starmer menyatakan dirinya tidak bisa mengungkapkan rincian operasional pengiriman jet tempur.
