La politica sottolinea come gli attacchi alla figura del Presidente della Repubblica possano trasformarsi in un boomerang politico, danneggiando non solo la comunicazione ma anche la stabilità e la credibilità dell’Italia a livello internazionale.Secondo Aprile, indebolire Mattarella in un momento delicato, segnato da pressioni esterne e dalla propaganda russa, mette a rischio la forza delle istituzioni e la posizione del Paese in Europa. L’unico scenario in cui questa strategia avrebbe senso sarebbe un’adesione cieca alle politiche di Trump, con un possibile distacco dall’Europa, ipotesi tuttavia improbabile.
